COME SEE MY SOLO SHOW DEBUT!
This Monday at 7pm @ Chelsea Table + Stage join me for my very first solo show in New York City.
After 10 years in this industry, I figured it was time to take the stage and share not only some of my favorite songs but also some silly stories and tricks of the trade. Everyday Diva is an intimate evening of music and storytelling designed to make audiences laugh, cry “in a fun way,” and leave with the knowledge that confidence never goes out of style.
Featuring music from disco icons like Gloria Gaynor and pop stars Lizzo and Reneé Rapp to theater favorites Sondheim and Jason Robert Brown. I’ll be joined by Abigail Sparrow (SIX) and Music Director Reagan Casteel (Chess, &Juliet).

SHREK AT THE MUNY
This past summer I got to complete a two dreams of mine - be in a professional production of Shrek the Musical and perform at The Muny! Under the brilliant direction of John Tartaglia, I made my Muny debut as Mama Ogre and the Wicked Witch.
The cast was star studded and the vibes were immaculate. There really is nothing like Muny magic and getting to share such a beloved story with 11,000 people every night! Can’t wait for my next opportunity to meet you in St.Louis and check some other dream shows!
BROADWAY DEBUT - CHECK!
After a glorious year traveling the country with the First National Tour of & Juliet, I joined the Broadway company in past October 2025. I played Eleanor/Benvolio in the ensemble every and was lucky enough to make my Broadway principal debut with Angelique in November.
&Juliet has been such a special part of my life for the last year and a half. It’s brought me so many firsts and magical memories. I look forward to the next time I get to belt out Celine Dion in a night gown!
I WENT TO THE JELLICLE BALL!
In the summer of 2024, I was honored to make my off-Broadway debut as a swing in the revival of CATS: The Jellicle Ball at PAC NYC. This innovative production re-conceptualized the Cats we know and love into the fabulous, fiery world of Ballroom. Directed by Zhailon Levingston and Bill Rauch at the brand-new Perelman Performing Arts Center this was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. From learning to vogue to debuting all of the tracks I covered in less than a month, I’ve had an amazing summer I’ll never forget. I’ll forever be a Jellicle Cat!
WHEN NOT ON STAGE…
I’m also a photographer! I specialize in customized personal branding photoshoots and natural/easy headshots with a sprinkle of videography, web design, and social media management. I love collaborating with multi-hyphenate artists to develop a curated photoshoot experience that captures every version of themselves.
Praise for Shelby as Anne in &Juliet
‘Favorite of the night’
“Griswold as Anne was a favorite of the night, and she easily won me over with her wit and sarcasm; however, the depth and exposure she brought to Anne was equally impressive and important, most notably during her performance “That’s The Way It Is”. Griswold’s portrayal cemented & Juliet’s reputation as not only a jukebox musical, but one with characters experiencing true, relatable human emotions.”
- Emily Clark, Utah Theatre Bloggers
Fierce and Dynamic
“Griswold was not only a crowd favorite, but she also left a lasting memory with her performance. She commanded the stage and played Anne fiercely and dynamically. I noticed subtle facial expressions or movements that ever so slightly, yet brilliantly enhanced a scene. Shelby is making her national tour debut with & Juliet. If this is just the start, then I have a feeling we’re going to see great things from her in the future.”
- Kevin Rolfe, Utah Concert Review
‘Witty, grounded, vocally radiant’
“Shelby Griswold steps into the role of Anne Hathaway like she was born to play it—witty, grounded, and vocally radiant. With emotional nuance and sly meta-theatrical charm, she transforms a sidelined historical figure into a commanding literary force. Her rendition of “That’s the Way It Is” is both vocally stunning and narratively revelatory, positioning Anne not as a footnote to Shakespeare, but as a co-author of the canon.”

ABOUT ME
ABOUT ME
As a performer, I love using all three elements of musical theater for maximum impactful storytelling. Spreading joy, inspiring change, or helping someone feel seen are transformative actions I prefer doing through a little song and dance. I am also a passionate pioneer of body diversity and representation in the arts. Being confident, sexy, and 100% my authentic self on stage should always be celebrated. Plus size bodies deserve to be seen and shared. When discussing the kind of work I want to be doing, I’ve always said I don’t want to be a woman telling a curvy story but a curvy woman telling a story. Luckily, I keep landing on projects and working with teams helping me do just that! Cheers to a lifetime of setting trends and pushing boundaries.
Training: Baldwin Wallace University Class of 2020! I graduated with a Bachelor’s of Music in Music Theatre with a Minor in Marketing.
Recently seen on stage in… &Juliet Broadway and National Tour (Ensemble, u/s Anne & Angelique), CATS: The Jellicle Ball (Understudy Demeter, Victoria, Electra, Booth Singer/Ens) Off-Broadway at the Perelman Performing Arts Center. Shrek the Musical (Mama Ogre/Wicked Witch) at The Muny! SIX the Musical (Jane Seymour) on the high seas with Norwegian Cruise Lines, and the world premiere of SuperYou the Musical (Ima Mazing) at Skylight Music Theater.
Whether on stage or behind a camera, I strive to connect with audiences through my honesty, confidence, and unique style!

Bring It On
“Shelby Griswold (Bridget) has a wonderful sense of comic timing. Her mobile face and line interpretations light up the stage. “
- Broadway World (Roy Berko)
“Griswold is particularly effective in capturing the endearing humor of a nerdy, awkward girl with a heart of gold. “
- Clevescene (Christine Howey)
Cabaret
“Shelby Griswold showed Sally as bouncy, full of vibrant life and, at the same time, one suffering from frenetic despair. (…) Griswold made Sally someone easy to like, dislike and fear for all at the same time — in other words, an ordinary human, except for her ability to belt out “Don’t Tell Mama” and wail “Cabaret.”
- Cool Cleveland (Laura Kennelly)
Once
“…Through the guidance of the girl’s mother (the captivating Shelby Griswold)(…)All the performers display multiple talents, most playing more than one instrument throughout.”
- Clevescene (Roman Macharoni)
“Ensemble members playing her Czech friends and family, especially Shelby Griswold as mother Baruska, portray a passionate, loving people.”
- Beacon Journal (Kerry Clawson)
